Preview: Central Columbia Bluejays vs. Bloomsburg Panthers
Central Columbia has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Bloomsburg Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Wednesday, Central Columbia didn't have too much trouble with Shikellamy on the road as they won 61-43.
Central Columbia can attribute much of their success to Jackson Gump, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Larson Kocher, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Bloomsburg scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Millville 62-23 at home. That looming 62-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Bloomsburg yet this season.
Central Columbia pushed their record up to 5-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Bloomsburg, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.
Everything came up roses for Central Columbia against Bloomsburg when the teams last played on December 8th as the squad secured a 73-43 victory. Does Central Columbia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bloomsburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
