Basketball Recap: Ashland-Greenwood Takes a Loss

Ashland-Greenwood lost against Bishop Neumann back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays were beaten by the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers 66-22. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 52nd).

Ashland-Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Bishop Neumann, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Ashland-Greenwood has already played their next game (against Plattsmouth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bishop Neumann will be playing in front of their home fans against Grand Island Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
