Weslaco typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Pharr-San Juan-Alamo proved too difficult a challenge. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 5-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Jesse Garza's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
