Baseball Recap: North County Takes a Loss

North County entered their matchup against Severna Park on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. North County fell just short of Severna Park by a score of 8-7. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 8-3 to the Falcons when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Henry, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Henry has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Nic Burton was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

North County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Severna Park, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. North County is set to take on their familiar foe Annapolis at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Severna Park will face off against rival Arundel at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
