Basketball Recap: Jameel Patterson and Julius Jackson Secure Win for Harlan

Harlan lost to Lighthouse College Prep Academy back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Harlan Falcons walked away with a 55-43 victory over the Lighthouse College Prep Academy Lions.

Leading Harlan to victory were Julius Jackson and Jameel Patterson. Jackson posted 20 points, while Patterson earned 18 points. Jackson is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Hezikiah Cooks, who scored eight points.

Harlan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Lighthouse College Prep Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Harlan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-51 defeat against Southland College Prep on the 17th. Lighthouse College Prep Academy has also already played their next contest (against Lake Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
