After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Morgan, Liberty Common was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wiggins Tigers, sneaking past 6-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.
Bryson Weibler was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
Liberty Common now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Wiggins, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Liberty Common will venture away from home to take on Dawson School at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.56 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wiggins, they are taking a road trip to challenge Limon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Badgers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
