Basketball Recap: Ewing Drops Season-High Score on New Dorp

Ewing scored the most points they've had this season on Sunday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to the New Dorp Central Cougars on the road by a 65-51 margin.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was London Bennett, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Ewing was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Ewing's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for New Dorp, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Ewing will square off against Robbinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Dorp, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Stuyvesant at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
