Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Rancho Christian on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-4. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Hillcrest saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Ramos, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8-1. As for Rancho Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

As of now, neither Hillcrest nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
