Basketball Recap: Lake Forest Academy's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lake Forest Academy entered their game against Evanston on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lake Forest Academy Caxys took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evanston Wildkits. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Caxys came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Wildkits are ranked 289th).

Lake Forest Academy's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3. As for Evanston, they moved to 4-13 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

Lake Forest Academy will take on Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Highland Park has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Evanston, they will host Prospect at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prospect will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Evanston surely won't give up without a fight.
