Fremd is 8-0-1 against Hoffman Estates since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Hawks at 12:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fremd took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Rolling Meadows. Given Fremd's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Rolling Meadows are ranked 222nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adam Kowalski and Ramon Aros scored all three of Fremd's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Hoffman Estates won against Buffalo Grove on Monday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. The Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against Prospect, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that Hoffman Estates have won by just one goal.

The victory got Fremd back to even at 5-5-2. As for Hoffman Estates, the win got them back to even at 6-6-2.

Fremd beat Hoffman Estates 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
