Basketball Game Preview: L'Anse Purple Hornets vs. Chassell Panthers

L'Anse and Chassell are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The L'Anse Purple Hornets will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Chassell Panthers at 7:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (L'Anse has three straight wins, Chassell has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

L'Anse will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Jeffers, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. L'Anse walked away with a 56-49 victory over Jeffers on Monday.

Meanwhile, Chassell lost to Baraga at home by a 62-47 margin on Tuesday.

L'Anse pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Chassell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
