Basketball Recap: Golden Gets the Win

On Thursday, the Golden Demons earned a 48-41 win over the Skyline Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Demons.

Golden had a senior duo take command as Leif Hansen dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards and Aidan Owens posted 11 points and five rebounds. Hansen is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

Skyline lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Johnny McCray, who had ten points and four steals. Jamal Gilliam was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.

Golden now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Golden will host Colorado Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Golden is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. As for Skyline, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-30 victory against Alameda on the 14th.
