Soccer Game Preview: North Mason vs. Port Angeles

North Mason is 2-8 against Port Angeles since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Roughriders at 7:15 p.m. North Mason has given up an average of 3.6 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Mason is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game last Friday. They came up short against Bainbridge, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, North Mason can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Bainbridge are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Angeles). Their defense stepped up to hand Steilacoom a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Port Angeles.

Port Angeles' win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for North Mason, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

North Mason suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Port Angeles when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
