Recap: Springstead Eagles vs. Sunlake Seahawks
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Springstead Eagles walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Seahawks with a sharp 70-45 victory on Wednesday. Springstead is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 17 straight.
Springstead got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was J'ziyah Munford out in front who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Munford has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Osborne, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Springstead's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.9 points. As for Sunlake, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Springstead will be playing in front of their home fans against Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 346 points over their last five matches. Sunlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
