Volleyball Recap: Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs vs. Martinsville Artesians        
        
		
             Franklin Community waltzed into their match  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Martinsville Artesians with a sharp  3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Grizzly Cubs also won the last time the pair played  back in September of 2023.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Franklin Community took every set by at least 12 points. After all that action, the final score was 25-11, 25-13,  25-11.
  Kate Pinnick was nothing short of spectacular: she  had 15  digs and two  aces. She is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served two or more in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Franklin Community  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 14  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least eight  aces in three consecutive  games.
 Franklin Community's victory was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Martinsville,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-11.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Community will square off against Purdue Polytechnic at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Martinsville, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Bloomington North at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Bloomington North will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  win, something Martinsville surely won't give up without a fight.
