Recap: Elkhart Wildcats vs. Stanton County Trojans

The Elkhart Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 60-34 walloping at the hands of Stanton County. While losing is never fun, Elkhart can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Stanton County is ranked 80th).

Among those leading the charge was Alvin Solis, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Luis Rodriguez, who scored ten points.

Elkhart's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Stanton County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Elkhart will head out on the road to square off against Deerfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stanton County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lakin at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Lakin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
