Volleyball Recap: Penns Valley Area Rams vs. Bellefonte Raiders
Penns Valley Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Bellefonte Raiders. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
After all that action, the final score was 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-19.
Bellefonte was led to victory by Ella Novitsky and Sloan Moore. Novitsky had 15 digs and four aces, while Moore had 11 digs and three aces. Moore has been hot recently, having posted six or more digs the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Ripka, who had 11 digs.
Penns Valley Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bellefonte, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penns Valley Area is on the road again on Thursday to play Bedford at 7:00 p.m. As for Bellefonte, they will square off against Bishop McCort at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bellefonte is facing Bishop McCort at the right time seeing as Bishop McCort is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
