Basketball Recap: South Sioux City Comes Up Short

South Sioux City played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Westview Wolverines, falling 66-23. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-11.

Despite the loss, South Sioux City still got an impressive performance from IzaBella Moret, who posted 11 points. What's more, Moret also posted a 43% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kalyn Bailey, who went 6-for-10 on her way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Macy Kellner, who scored ten points and three steals.

South Sioux City's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Westview, their victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

South Sioux City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westview, they have already played their next match, a 53-48 defeat against Millard South on the 28th.
