Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Southwest Guilford's Seventh in Last Eight Outings + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Southwest Guilford walked away with it. They came out on top against the Cuthbertson Cavaliers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cowboys also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2018.

Southwest Guilford walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 22-25, 25-14.

Sarah Read paced Southwest Guilford's offense, picking up 16 kills. Read got some help from Isabelle Tran and her 34 assists. Neala Bateson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Southwest Guilford is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season. As for Cuthbertson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9.

Southwest Guilford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Cox Mill on the 23rd. Cuthbertson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
