Softball Game Preview: Minerva Lions vs. Rittman Indians

The Minerva Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Rittman Indians at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Minerva and six for Rittman.

On Thursday, Minerva came up short against Alliance and fell 4-1. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Minerva saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Essick, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Mackenzie French also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Rittman came up short against Dalton on Thursday, falling 20-4.

Minerva's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Rittman, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
