Baseball Recap: North Catholic Takes a Loss

North Catholic entered their match against Hopewell on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trojans fell 8-4 to the Vikings. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

North Catholic saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Eifler, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Eifler hit this season. Jake McKee was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

North Catholic suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Hopewell, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Hampton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hopewell, they will head out to square off against Serra Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on the 16th.
