Basketball Recap: Patriot Warriors vs. Citrus Hill Hawks
Patriot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 73-55 to the Citrus Hill Hawks. The Warriors lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in December of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-33 score last time.
Citrus Hill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jerren White out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. White is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kannon Steward, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine steals.
Patriot's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Citrus Hill, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.
Patriot will welcome Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Citrus Hill, they and West Valley will face off at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
