Chaparral's game  last Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  a  14-3 margin over the Ellison Eagles. With that  victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 6.1  runs per game.
 Madison Edwards made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits (and only one walk). Edwards was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more,  she posted two  doubles, the most she's  had since back in February.
 In other batting news,  Mikayla Hudson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run.  Lex Rivas Estiamba was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
Chaparral's win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-10. As for Ellison,  they are  on  a  15-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
 Coincidentally, Chaparral and Ellison will both be playing Waco the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Lions at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
