Baseball Recap: Mayer Lutheran Gets the Win

Mayer Lutheran's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the West Lutheran Warriors by a score of 6-2. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Mayer Lutheran got a big performance out of Seth Aurich, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Aurich a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Ingram, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Mayer Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for West Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mayer Lutheran will challenge Eagle Ridge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mayer Lutheran's pitchers better be ready for this one: Eagle Ridge Academy has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for West Lutheran, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Liberty Classical Academy at 3:15 p.m.
