Basketball Recap: Madrid-Waddington Wins Going Away Against Colton-Pierrepont

Madrid-Waddington won the last time they faced Colton-Pierrepont and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets' way against the Colton-Pierrepont Colts as the Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets made off with a 56-36 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Yellowjackets have posted against the Colts since March 25, 2021.

Colton-Pierrepont lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cody Trimm, who posted four points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Trimm is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Peacock, who scored eight points.

Madrid-Waddington now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Colton-Pierrepont, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Madrid-Waddington will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Lawrence Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. As for Colton-Pierrepont, they will take on Norwood-Norfolk at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
