Volleyball Recap: Yerington Takes a Loss

Yerington and GV Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Yerington had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Guardians. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Aiyana Brown paced Yerington's offense, picking up ten kills. Brown got some help from Rylee Slegers and her 13 assists. Brown was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Yerington's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for GV Christian, the victory (which was their 24th in a row) raised their record to 30-4.

Yerington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for GV Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against White Pine on the 8th.
