Football Game Preview: Ford Panthers vs. Canton Eagles

The Ford Panthers will square off against the Canton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ford is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since October 25, 2024 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 58-21 loss at the hands of Sunnyvale. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Panthers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Despite the defeat, Ford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Devon Williams rushed for 150 yards and two scores on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, Canton put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ferris 58-15. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 682nd).

Canton's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Ford, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
