Football Recap: Pace Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mary G. Montgomery

Pace had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 34-21 to the Mary G. Montgomery Vikings. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Brooks Washington threw for 74 yards on four of nine attempts. Aaron Muldowney was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Makael Williams rushed for 235 yards and three scores.

Kamron Smith was a one-man wrecking crew For Mary G. Montgomery. as he rushed for 125 yards and one touchdown.

Pace wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 41-20 victory against Pensacola Catholic on the 29th. As for Mary G. Montgomery, they have also already played their next game, a 22-19 win against Gulf Shores on the 29th.
