Soccer Game Preview: Poudre vs. Fort Collins

Poudre hasn't had much luck against Fort Collins recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Impalas will head out on the road to challenge the Lambkins at 4:00 p.m.

Poudre is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Loveland on Tuesday. The Impalas took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Wolves. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in March, Fort Collins was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. Neither they nor Rocky Mountain could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Fort Collins hit the Lobos with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Isabel Guerrero, Alex Rusnak, and Sydney Volden.

Poudre's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-2. Fort Collins' draw makes their record 1-6-3 this season.

Poudre couldn't quite get it done against Fort Collins in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Impalas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
