Soccer Recap: Cordova Starts Season with Win Against the Collegiate School of Memphis

Cordova took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over The Collegiate School of Memphis. Maria Meletz was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

This is the second loss in a row for The Collegiate School of Memphis and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cordova will venture away from home to face off against Middle College at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Collegiate School of Memphis, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Memphis Home Education Association at 5:00 p.m. on September 16.
