Volleyball Recap: DuPont Manual Comes Up Short

After flying high against Shawnee on Thursday, DuPont Manual came back down to earth. The Crimsons fell just short of the Providence Pioneers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Crimsons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

DuPont Manual started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-13.

DuPont Manual's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Providence, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Coming up, DuPont Manual will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Paul Laurence Dunbar at 7:00 p.m. As for Providence, they will head out to challenge Brownstown Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
