Volleyball Recap: Eastern Wayne Falls Despite Big Games from Lyric Hagans and Mallory Reed + How To Watch

Eastern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the West Craven Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Eastern Wayne had strong showings from Mallory Reed, who had five aces and one block, and Lyric Hagans, who had four aces and one block.

Eastern Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for West Craven, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Eastern Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Craven, they will welcome SouthWest Edgecombe at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
