Soccer Game Preview: University Prep vs. Riverside Prep

The University Prep Jaguars will face off against the Riverside Prep Silver Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

University Prep's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Lakeview Leadership Academy 10-0. It was an even better day for Daniel Yi as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Riverside Prep entered their tilt with Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy out 1-0.

Riverside Prep pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three matches. As for University Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5-2.

University Prep took their win against Riverside Prep when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Does University Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverside Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
