Basketball Game Preview: Airport Eagles vs. North Augusta Yellow Jackets

Airport hasn't had much luck against North Augusta recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Airport Eagles will head out on the road to take on the North Augusta Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m.

Airport is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 83-19 loss at the hands of Gray Collegiate Academy. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led North Augusta over South Aiken in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that North Augusta blew South Aiken out of the water with a 76-48 final score. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Airport's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for North Augusta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-1.

Airport took a serious blow against North Augusta when the teams last played back in January, falling 73-31. Can Airport avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
