Volleyball Game Preview: West Ranch Wildcats vs. Paraclete Spirits

West Ranch is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Paraclete is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wildcats will welcome the Spirits at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, West Ranch earned a 3-1 win over Valencia. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

West Ranch had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-18, 25-15, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Paraclete was able to grind out a solid win over Bishop Montgomery on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

West Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Paraclete, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-16-1 record this season.

West Ranch came out on top in a nail-biter against Paraclete when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Spirits have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
