Volleyball Recap: Indianapolis Crispus Attucks Falls to Indianapolis Shortridge in First Game of Season

Indianapolis Crispus Attucks unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Indianapolis Crispus Attucks was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Indianapolis Shortridge's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-9, 25-16.

Indianapolis Shortridge now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indianapolis Crispus Attucks will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Christel House at 5:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they will host International at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
