Basketball Recap: Rance Teague's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northside over Munday

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 52-33 bruising from the Munday Moguls. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1663rd, while the Moguls are ranked 755th).

Northside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rance Teague, who posted 11 points. Colt Ford was another key player, putting up ten points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Munday to victory, but perhaps none more so than Talan Collins, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Collins has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jariyis Williams, who went 6 of 11 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Munday, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-6.

Northside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-35 loss against Knox City on the 24th. As for Munday, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 85-19 victory against Crowell on the 24th.
