Volleyball Recap: Poteet's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Poteet unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wilson Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Poteet took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 20-25, 25-18, 15-6.

Poteet's defeat dropped their record down to 30-12. As for Wilson, the victory (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 24-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Poteet will take on rival Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wilson is set to challenge their familiar foe Seagoville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
