Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of De'asia Johnson and Karys Townsend Lead South Columbus to Victory

South Columbus won the last time they faced West Columbus and things went their way on Thursday too. The South Columbus Stallions came out on top against the West Columbus Vikings by a score of 33-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stallions.

South Columbus was led to victory by Karys Townsend and De'Asia Johnson. Townsend almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals, while Johnson posted nine points. Townsend has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

South Columbus is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for West Columbus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

South Columbus will venture away from home to challenge Hemingway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Columbus is facing Hemingway at the right time seeing as Hemingway is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for West Columbus, they will host Lake View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
