Staunton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 win over the Buffalo Gap Bison. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Storm's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Bison are ranked 106th).

Staunton pushed their record up to 4-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Buffalo Gap, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
