Baseball Game Preview: Ingraham Rams vs. Bishop Blanchet Bears

The Ingraham Rams will take on the Bishop Blanchet Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Ingraham has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Ingraham hadn't beaten Nathan Hale on the road since April 15, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Rams skirted past the Raiders 6-5.

Blake Stauff led a balanced Rams bullpen and didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Stauff has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brendan Doyle was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Campbell, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet came up short against O'Dea on Thursday, falling 9-2.

Ingraham's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Bishop Blanchet, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Ingraham might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Bishop Blanchet in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
