Paxton is a perfect 10-0 against Laurel Hill since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Paxton will venture away from home to square off against Laurel Hill at 6:00 p.m. Paxton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Paxton barely beat Vernon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Paxton never let Vernon get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. While the Bobcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Avionnah Padgett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Laurel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Baker, falling 16-1.

Paxton's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3. As for Laurel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything went Paxton's way against Laurel Hill in their previous meeting on March 3rd, as Paxton made off with a 16-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paxton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
