Elijah Thomas Turns in Season-Best Effort
Elijah Thomas produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Checotah to the win on Friday. Thomas' receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 117 receiving yards dating back to last season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging two interceptions.
Thomas might have his next game, a road matchup with Stigler, circled on his calendar. Thomas picked up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in November of 2023.
