Stockdale is a perfect 5-0 against Ridgeview since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will welcome the Wolf Pack at 4:00 p.m. Stockdale's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Ridgeview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Stockdale's offense. They fell 4-0 to Redwood on Wednesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stockdale got a good showing from Gabriel Borja, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Borja has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

Escondido typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Ridgeview proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Cougars.

Joel Gutierrez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ridgeview is 6-3 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Keisyun Allen, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Stockdale's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Ridgeview, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Stockdale beat Ridgeview 7-2 in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Wolf Pack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
