Baseball Recap: Chickasha Comes Up Short

Chickasha was the 9-1 winner over Kingfisher when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Chicks took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets on Friday. The Fighting Chicks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chickasha saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Javy Nieto, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Jackson Finck was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Chickasha's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Kingfisher, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Chickasha will face off against Pauls Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kingfisher, they will square off against Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
