Football Recap: Hillside Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Hillside was riding high fresh off their 28-6 takedown of North Bergen two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets fell 24-14 to the Bernards Mountaineers on Sunday. The Comets have struggled against the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Logan Stevens had an outrageously good game for Bernards as he rushed for 139 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 139 rushing yards gave Stevens a new career-high.

Hillside's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bernards, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Hillside and Bernards will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Comets are set to face off against their familiar foe Summit at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bernards will challenge rival Delaware Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
