Softball Recap: Ursuline Academy Bears vs. Dover-Sherborn Raiders
In what's become a running theme this season, Ursuline Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over the Dover-Sherborn Raiders. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Ursuline Academy considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Anna Kuchta was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Kuchta has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Kuchta was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Colleen Ganley was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. Ella Cusson was another key contributor, going 1-for-2 with a triple, two RBI, and a run.
