Soccer Recap: Independence's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Independence barely beat Centennial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Independence blew past Centennial 3-0 on Friday. Fans of Independence have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Hayden Smith and Brendan Medina scored all three of Independence's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

The win (which was Independence's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Centennial, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.
