Basketball Recap: Waynesville Comes Up Short

Waynesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Kickapoo Chiefs and fell 67-17. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Waynesville's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Kickapoo, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Waynesville will welcome Lebanon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waynesville is facing Lebanon at the right time seeing as Lebanon is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Kickapoo, they will square off against Republic at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Republic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Kickapoo likes a good challenge.
