Baseball Recap: Tulia Comes Up Short

If Tulia was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of River Road last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tulia Hornets fell 6-3 to the Childress Bobcats on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 16-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Tulia saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Tulia's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3-1. As for Childress, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6-1.

Looking ahead, Tulia will face off against Dalhart at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dalhart has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.4 runs per game on average), something Tulia will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Childress, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Childress Bobcats duke it out with River Road Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
